What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay the introductory fee by credit card, BACS or direct debit and the weekly salary payments are taken by direct debit using Go Cardless.

How do you collect payment for the flexible working fees?

We invoice you and collect payment for the £500 introductory fee plus the first week's salary a week before the candidate is due to start any work for you. Thereafter the weekly salary payments are taken by direct debit weekly in advance.

How many candidates are there on the platform?

At any one time we have hundreds of trained candidates live on the platform and we currently have 80 new candidates going live every month. Since launch in 2018 we've had over 5000 candidates join our programme.

What happens in the event of a mistake during the internship?

Sometimes mistakes happen - we are all human. In our experience they actually happen far less than you would imagine. In the event that the Graduate makes a mistake you should contact us immediately, and we will assess the situation and look to rectify it with you.

Why do you offer flexible working?

It often works really well for candidates who are keen to gain experience, and businesses who have fixed-term projects, or only require part-time workers.

Can I hire the graduate after the contract?

Yes, it’s our aim that the graduate has impressed and gained ample experience whilst working for your business, that you would like to take them on in a permanent capacity. However, there is no obligation on your part to do so. If you have a fixed-term project that a Graduate would be ideal for, but don’t have a permanent position available we would still love to work with you as it’s really important to find our graduates as much experience as possible.

Who is ultimately responsible for the employment of the candidate?

During the contract, we are. Every Graduate is assigned a DigitalGrads employee who is an experienced digital professional. The mentors are on hand to answer questions but also to troubleshoot any issues that may arise. We encourage you to view this experience as a process that gives you the opportunity to try someone out without the ultimate employment responsibility.

What happens if I take the candidate on permanently after the contract?

If you employ a candidate after the contract you will be charged the permanent recruitment fee, less the introduction fee you've already paid.
